This notice explains how we handle personal information collected through osos.click, site-assessment enquiries and related business communications.

Information we collect

We may collect your name, role, business and contact details, venue location, kitchen and fryer information, enquiry notes, decision timing, calculator information you choose to submit, and your optional marketing-consent choice.

When you use the website, our hosting, security and analytics providers may process technical information such as browser and device details, pages visited, approximate location and network identifiers. Calculator drafts remain in your browser session unless you choose to submit an assessment.

Why we collect and use it

We use personal information to respond to enquiries, assess service suitability, prepare proposals, administer customer relationships, operate and protect the website, prevent abuse, improve our services, keep required business records and comply with law.

We use contact details for marketing only where you separately choose the optional marketing checkbox or where otherwise permitted by law. Marketing consent is not required for us to respond to a site-assessment request.

How we collect and disclose information

We usually collect information directly from you, including through website forms, email, telephone and business discussions. We may also receive business contact information from your organisation, a referrer or a service partner where lawful.

We may disclose information to hosting, database, email, analytics, security and professional-service providers that help us operate; to equipment, logistics or finance partners where needed for a request and with appropriate notice; and to regulators, courts or other parties where required or authorised by law. We do not sell personal information.

Some service providers or their subprocessors may handle information outside Australia. Provider locations can change; contact us for current information. Where required, we take reasonable steps to ensure overseas recipients handle personal information consistently with applicable Australian privacy requirements.

Retention and security

If an assessment enquiry does not become a customer relationship, we ordinarily retain the enquiry for 24 months after the last meaningful interaction, then delete or de-identify it unless a longer period is required for a dispute, security matter or legal obligation.

Customer, contract, transaction and tax records are retained for the period required by the applicable agreement or law. Marketing-consent records are kept while consent is current and for a reasonable period afterwards to evidence and honour the preference. Service-provider logs and backups follow their controlled retention cycles.

We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards, but no online service is completely risk free. When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it, subject to backup and legal-record requirements.

Marketing choices

The marketing checkbox is optional and unticked by default. If you select it, we record that choice with your enquiry. You can withdraw marketing consent at any time by using an unsubscribe option in a marketing message or contacting us. Withdrawal does not affect service messages needed to answer or administer your request.

We will action an unsubscribe request within the period required by law and will retain enough information to respect the opt-out.

Website storage and analytics

The website uses storage that is necessary for functions such as carrying calculator details into an assessment. It may also use privacy-focused website analytics to understand aggregate site usage. We do not use advertising cookies at launch.

Access, correction and complaints

You may ask to access or correct personal information we hold about you, or make a privacy complaint, by contacting us. We may need to verify your identity and exceptions under law may apply. We will acknowledge and address complaints within a reasonable period.
